bought a 1990 cherokee a few weeks ago just to have a 4x4 to play with. im tryin to get every thing in working order. when i picked the jeep up everything except the power windows worked. i fixed the windows but i have no lights except the blinkers. im thinkin te brake switch went out but i dunno. this is my first jeep so any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Check fuses and the brake light switch first. On Cherokees the big issue is always grounds. The ones that the factory put in are inadequate and poorly placed and new ones are always a good idea along with additional ones.

 

im thinking it could be that too. the other day i was driving it around and it died after taking a bumpy turn. think something might have gotten grounded out?

 

Check all of your wiring and the grounds to that wiring.
