Make sure the wires are on the terminals tight. My buddies tahoe did this and it was due to his wires being a mess. Granted you probably checked this, but I would look at all the wires just to be sure. Also could be bad alternator, does the voltometer work? Check the alt. ground wire, and all the fuses.

Check out my recent post regarding electrical. Similar problems with dim clock and no tail lights/blinkers. Found lots of corrosion in fuse panel and bad ground on engine block

The CPS is not a cure all, look for bad or loose connections at the back of the alternator, at the fuse panels, and battery.

Honestly sounds like a loose ground somewhere to me. I know my old man's Escape has a loose ground and would randomly dim and cut and throw battery lights.

Just trace your grounds and make sure they're all tightened down.

I think you're on the right track, bad grounds will cause all kinds of funky things to happen.

Like most of the people are saying, you have a bad connection somewhere, it is hard to trace down but it is at the beginning of your Electrical system. Look for a loose/corroded ground, fuse box can corrod as well given the age of your jeep. Sometimes the smallest of wires are the biggest problem, do a simple wiggle test, grab a loom of wires wiggle it and see if you lose power.

Thanks for the info guys. The weird thing about this is I just put my winch on and replaced all the battery cables. Upgraded the charge wire from alternator and ran new grounds from the block. I checked all of that stuff, disonnected the winch and swapped around the relays...no change. Will the cps cut all power, cuz I smashed the wire between the block and tranny when I changed the clucth? I'm currently out of town so I'm gettin ideas and will probly just get my buddy to rewire the engine bay, at least the ecu and charging portion of it. Is there a way to check the solenoid on the inner fender? Thanks again

Ok guys, all fixed...When I installed the winch and new battery cables I didnt get the ground off the battery tight enough. Yep I should have checked the easy obvious first, but I just replaced it all and was 125% sure i got all the connections tight enough. Thanks for the quick replys.

It's moments like these when a virtual beer on the forum would be nice

Glad you got your rig fixed!
