So I have a 1992 Cherokee just finished a 4.7 swap drive it around about 3 weeks then while I was in drive on the brake it died, no power no nothing, won’t even roll the window up, hazards work but that’s it so I went ahead and cleaned all battery connections replaced the ignition switch along with nss

still nothing at the key, I’ve done the screwdriver trick on the starter and it cranks over I’ve also tested all fuses and replaced a few random ones that were bad Jeep acts like there is no battery hooked up. Like u said no power no clicking of any kind or anything.

I do think a wire possibly ground out or shorted out, tested the small wire in the starter with key off and on and it read nothing

I'll be the first to say it..... check all of your grounds, especially since you just did a motor swap. I had a headlight ground just randomly go bad about 2 weeks ago. Cant come up with a good reason as to why two mated surfaces all of a sudden dont make electrical contact when theyre screwed together, but I took the screw out, sanded the ground wire connector, sanded the spot on the frame where it attached, and voila, the headlight came right back on the full brightness. Just a thought...
