electrical problem
Hey guys, another electrical problem. I have a 93 cherokee with the 4.0 and automatic. I was driving down the highway and when I stopped at the rest area, the bottom of the dash started to smoke. I now have two burnt wires on the tiny relay box and now my column has power only when on acc. and engine isn't running. Any ideas?
Trace those 2 wires and try an find a short, when an electrical wire burns it's usually because a positive wire is touching a ground source or a ground source is touching a positive wire somewhere.

I've ran the wires and it seems the short originated from one of those wires. It was only the 40 A fuse under the good that was blown and it is replaced to no effect. It would help if anyone knew exactly what those small relays were for and I could try to pull something out of the air.
