Default electrical gremlins!

can anyone tell me what to check for a common parasitic draw for a 96 XJ? i've had the DMM out all afternoon trying to find the draw and i can't find it for the life of me

The only thing that should be drawing any power is the radio, and just enough to power the clock and memory UNLESS you have added accessories that aren't wired through the ignition. Of course the light switch or emergency flasher switches aren't controlled by the ignition, nor are the interior lights.

What you could do is pull all of the fuses and hook up a meter inline between the battery and cable + side. With the meter set to show current, as in amps and not voltage or continuity, check to see IF there is any draw. Add fuses one at a time until the culprit circuit appears(current draw). The owners' manual will give you a rough idea as to what is fused by each fuse.

it would sit overnight and go dead. i found the problem not too long after i posted that yesterday actually. i didn't wire any of this but the CB was spliced in with the sunroof which was spliced into something else.
