If the Heep did go for a dip in the pool, connector C100 and C201 could be ate up with corrosion. It would be the first time this happened. In fact. the JB has been known to be ate up with corrosion, causing all kinds of problems.

JB example: The green stuff is corrosion. Connector C4 is the large bolted connector.

Crap!

I'm off to Texas for a couple weeks for work. When I get back, I'll start over on surgically disassembling this Heep. I do have a good friend with the same year that is a donor Heep.

I'll post some pics of C100 and C201 when I manage to get them off.

Thanks for all the help Ken and all.

Before you go to Texas, here's a tip:

Do not take resistance readings using your Ohmmeter on LIVE circuits. Remove the connector off the battery negative post then take your resistance readings.

That's a nice meter you have (I have one just like it) and I would hate to hear that you smoked it.

Have a safe trip.

Thanks Ken. That was a dumb mistake I made. I "assumed' it was dead, because it was supposed to be dead.

Good luck with the electrical problems and I hope that I'm wrong. But even considering how we use them or in my case anyway the water is deeper than I thought a few times.

Needless to say I go through a lot of dielectric grease and last week again checked and cleaned my grounds.
