I have a 2001 xj and for the past few months the drivers side door lock was going in and out. If it didn't work I would just reach over to the passenger door to lock all the doors so it was no big deal. Today after I was driving, I parked and tried to roll my driver's side window up but nothing worked. The window controls on all the windows were not working, the driver and passenger side locks were not working and the side view mirror controls weren't working. basically all my electric controls on all the doors aree out. I'm hoping it is just a fuse but not too sure, looks like there are 2 different fuses for these, #'s 18 and 28 on the passenger side kick panel. has anyone else had this problem and fixed it?

 

Started it up this morning and all the windows worked again. I checked the driver side lock and it unlocked all the doors but wouldn't lock them but the passenger side lock worked.

 

check the harness inside of dr door for loose and corroded connections

 

X2, It also may be a good idea to clean every ground on the vehicle, including all spade connectors on the power side including the wiring harness. I also ran another ground from the body to the engine block. It made a world of difference in my '88 XJ.
