Hey guys well while i have my headliner out i found a thick pink wire that has a hookup on each end but isnt hooked up so i chased it down and found this. As you can see its spliced with alot of wires and had duck tape over it.

heres the pink thick wire that isnt hooked up to anything but its spliced

I'm gonna remove the black dome(which is keyless entry i believe so im not worried about hooking that back up) I just cant figure out what the thick pink wire is supposed to hooked up to and if i should just rip the crap splice job out?

Ill look through my FSM... It might be a power wire for the overhead console.

dont have an overhead console in my 91 sport,although i wanna upgrade to one.

Just cause you dont have one doesnt mean the wiring isnt there. Jeep is known for that..

ahh checkmate,is that splice factory you think thou? It was wrap with alittle piece of duct tape and then electrical tape over it.

When I was parting my truck I saw crappy looking splices like that inside some of the looms and the looms couldn;t have been pulled apart too neat.

Those single pronged connectors in the 2nd photo look like the ones that plug into the powered vanity mirrors on the back of the sun visors.

X2 on the factory looking splice.

dont you know? those are the wires that connect the flux capacitor to the continium transfunctioner! lol

lighted vanity mirrors huh? My basic model xj is moving up in the trail world now with lighted mirrors.......nice thanks guys.

Dude... how else are you going to know how good you look going down the trail unless you have the proper lighting in your vanity mirrors. You gotta hook those up!

they could be for the curtisy lights in the consol and the cumpass/temp gage. MY 95 has the over head consol with lights compass/temp and the keyless entry in it.

I don't even have mirrors in my XJ (except the ones you use to drive)
