Hi, guys
Mine is '96 sport 4.0 I6, auto, AC, cruise ctrl, no ABS.
I have some connectors that I kind of don't like the way they are located and hanging in there, as they are very close and can touch engine and heater valve hoses - all these gets very hot.
I was thinking maybe trying to "reorganize" them somehow.
My question is actually to someone who has '96 xj (or maybe it's pretty much the same on other models) and has everything there as it was "originally" untouched. So how does it look on yours?
Please see the picture. Do you have there exactly the same situation or is it somewhat different?

I see nothing wrong, Jeep must have thought the same thing.

Maybe zip tie them a little tighter if you want, wrap some new electrical tape around bare wires or some new wire loom to hide bare wires.

But I wouldn't worry about it.

Yeah, I was thinking of loomming/taping the exposed wires and maybe tie them up so they don't swing so freely there. But I was wondering how do these look "originally", as what I have there - it looks like someone was messing with them a bit ...or a lot ????

hhhmmm, trans dipstick tube right in the middle of those 2 wiring harnesses.

some engineer thought we could not see it eh? WELL he was WRONG< I FOUND IT FIRST! quick someone check that trans fluid!

huh huh!!!! Right! I was thinking to myself something similar ..LOL. I was scratching my head: "WOW! some layout/"design" here....

I'll just try to do what I can that would make sense to me as to sort of "protect" the wires a bit. I know it may be totally unnecessary, but it bothers me. I am not a "mechanic", but I was into electronics for long time, and when I see this sort of "situations" it kind of does not fit well into my "philosophical views", heh heh
