Electrical circut board on headliner???

Default Electrical circut board on headliner???

does anyone know what this is. i took the cover off it (which is located above the rear view mirror on the headliner)and found that its pluged in and no idea what it is.

I had the same question when I replaced the headliner in my 2000. Then when I reinstalled the headliner and plugged the circuit board in the locks clicked, so I am pretty sure it is the antenna and controller for the remote entry system.

I have the same thing and thats wat i was told before it was for but when i bought my jeep the guy didnt have or say anything about keyless entry but i had a alarm and keyless entry installed in my jeep (after 3 atempted breakins and 2 broken windows) would the aftermarket one still use that same sensor cause i wana take the headliner out and was thinkin about deleting that sensor

Well if it's aftermarket, it could really have been installed virtually anywhere... But that is the position that the sensor was located when it came from the factory. Go back to the place that installed the alarm and ask em where they put the sensor. Chances are it's in the same spot

Disconnect it and see if it still works.
