electric fan
Ok. I have had my 2000 for a couple years. Just today i unplugged the wire on my thermostat housing (sending unit?). After i did this about 30 seconds later my electric fan kicked on. My question is this... is my fan turning on when needed and i just don't because i am driving or is it possible that it isn't working? Should i be able to hear it? At what point should it come on? Thanks for any help in advance.

Not sure about a '00, but on a '98 the efan turns on immediately when unplugged at the t-stat and sets a CEL. It's a safety/default thingy. Might want check for a faulty connection or sending unit. "fan on" coolant temp is 218F and I believe '00, '01 efan turns on when a/c pressure reaches X psi.
