Easyest question ever, but i can't answer it
I just got a 93 4-Door 4wd XJ. it needs the front diff rebuilt. i was thinking of just putting the 4:10 gear in it, cause it has a lift and i know I'm going to go wheeling as much as possable, LOL. anyway back to the question. What kind of axles are on this thing? I see people talking about Dana 30's and Dana 35's, but i thought the rear was a C 9" or something like that. any help would be Great! O'yeah and what is the stock gears, cause it seems to turn the 33's on it nicely. Thanx for your help.

The front axle will be a Dana 30. Cherokees come factory with a Chry-co 8.25 or a Dana 35 for the rear.
as far as gears, could be 3.55 or 3.73 or something else. get under the back of the jeep and look for an info tag.

i have the same exact xj.. yours isnt blue is it? lol. anyways im almost positive with your model year you will have a dana 30 front diff with a 231 transfer case and a chrysler 8.25 27 spline rear. depending on whether it is manual or automatic will determine your transmission type. i believe stock gears for the ax 15 manual transmission are 3.83, 2.33, 1.44, 1.00, 0.79 1st through 5th
