Well I've been doing it for at least ten years now. Probally 80k worth of miles. With the amount of gas I burn every week, I gotta save some money. I know slot of keepers that do It locally.
Now for the mods, there's not any original parts left on my fuel system. I've had to replace every part on my 17yo xj. The only real upgrade was the injectors and the pressure reg.

I run e-85 mixed with gas all the time. 50/50 mix is perfect. I didn't modify anything, it gives me a nice power boost and cleans a lot of gunk outa my system. I don't let it sit in my tank very long, I usually only put it in when I know I'm going to burn it up within a day or two. It does make the engine run a little lean but not enough to worry about, plus the bad side is the mileage isint very good with it mixed in. I lose about 20% miles.

Too funny.

I'm dropping out of this now....
A piggy back module, wide band O2 sensors, the correct fuel lines....
That's a start.
A stock 4.0L simply can't run on E85 without major damgae.
Been there, done that.
Anyone that says otherwise is very misinformed.

you will sacrifice 25% of you fuel mileage running e85. if the e85 is priced more than 25% less than gasoline you can save money. its only 10% less where I'm at. i would lose money if i ran e85. but on the other hand e85 might be better for the environment and it is definitely better for our farm economy.
