the other day my e brake button popped off and the damn spring went flying out haha. i found the spring and tried to just put it back in and push the button back in, that didn't work too well, so i started getting mcgyverish and shoved a flathead in the hole cuz the brake was stuck engaged. after moving the screwdriver in the e brake released, and i've been driving it a little maybe 15 miles, i finally noticed my brake light was on... it doesnt drive like the brake is engaged or smell like i'm trying to spin the tires or anything, it drives just fine feels normal as can be... but of course the red light is a little worrisome. just wondering if anyone has had the same problem. mine is a 92, i know they had a recall for the problem on the 95. and does anybody know fi the light is just on cuz there's a problem with the e brake? fluid's fine. brakes are fine... no cel light.. any help would be cool thanks.
