Low fuel pressure. What happens if you step on the gas?

no fuel filter. technically its the fuel pressure regulator/filter and its mounted on top of the fuel tank. about a 100 bucks for the part if that is the problem.

is there a check engine light on??? I would not guess low fuel pressure... low fuel pressure would starve the engine on acceleration and usually idle fine... hard to say and I hate guessing... If there is a light on then have it scanned at autozone or advance auto parts for free and have them give you a printout... it can point you in the right direction...

when my fuel pressure regulator went to crap the jeep would chug going down the road. you would have to put it to the floor to keep it running. never had a problem rolling up to a stoplight or what have you.

Does it run fine otherwise??? like cruising speeds or any speeds for that matter over idle???? If that is the case then how about the IAC motor... Idle air control motor can cause your symptoms... You can try cleaning it first to see if it changes anything... If it does then I'd replace it...

Why is the Jeep is giving you problem shortly right after you got it from me? I really do feel bad. I had never gave me problem when I had it. :/

If the engine runs normal when giviing gas but bogs down at idle, it may be the IAC, idle air control. This control the engine idle. It is attached to the throttle body. If this is a high mileage vehicle, I would remove and clean the throttle body, IAC and throttle position sensor, TPS. It is all on the throttle body.

If not, there is a cleaner you can use to run thru and clean the throttle body. That may help.
