Hi folks,

I plan to replace all the seats in my 99 XJ with some good used one. To ease the process to find used parts, could you please tell me which model years of XJ have the compatible seats for my 99?

I am also considering leather seats, which are rare to find in XJ. I wonder if I can get some from grand cherkee and fit them directly into XJ?

WJ and ZJ seats will bolt up directly to your seat rails up front. so pull some leather ones outta those

 

Do I need get the whole seat assembly including the seat track? Or just seat itself which can be directly bolted on to my XJ's seat track.

 

are the ZJ and WJ the same sizes? or is there a plus to having one over the other?

seat can be bolted directly onto your XJ rail if im not mistaken

Bmyohn, If I understand correctly, ZJ and WJ are different years of the Grand Cherokee. You just want to get seats that have the same channel that the fronts mount to in a 95+ XJ. With his 99, the Grand Cherokee seast from a 93 through 04 (IIRC) should fit flawlessly. I don't know about the electric though. Follow the links posted just above this for more info.
