Default Dumb oil pressure question

hey just rebuilt my motor 500 miles on it had a question. I get 45lbs at cold idle and doesn't increase with rpm and warm 20-30 idle 45 at speed. seem like there's almost some sort of stop at 45 it is possible this could be the sending unit or the gauges? thanks. not looking to hear motors bad runs amazing. thanks for the quick answer

Check it with a mechanical pressure gauge at the port where the sending unit screws into.

Yes, could be a bad sender, maybe bad harness, maybe bad dash gauge too.

You don't know anything yet until you check the pressure by another means besides the existing system.

I second this. Since you put the money in to rebuild the motor go the extra mile. Ask anyone else on this forum with a rebuilt motor and they'll say the same thing. Rebuilt does not me don't care and actually means be as extra as possible about making sure the motor is in good shape so that you can get that golden 400,000 miles everyone wants out of their 4.0

Yeah, they are like women, high maintenance but lots of fun! I drove my XJ today after letting it sit for 3 weeks and now neither rear door or the hatch will open! Where's my Blaster? My WJ is purring pretty. 9K on the new motor now.
