Recently I noticed an odd dry/grinding noise at start up on my 99. Put it in gear and pull out, no noise. Back in, shut her off, you can CLEARLY hear the noise when the motor stops.
So today I pop the hood and have the old lady turn her over. I cant hear it. I ask her if she can and she cant. She shuts it off and THERE it is. Sounded like it was coming from the fan/fan area. It sounds like a dry or dying pulley, so Im wondering if this could be my fan clutch. Any ideas?
