Nothing else has to be changed other than the back plate, calipers, rubber hoses from the calipers, rotors, pads, etc. The rest stays the same.

Could be on either one...

I have a 94 5.2.. with a drum brake D35.. and the factory towing package.
My buddy has a 98 4.0 with a disc D44a.. and no towing package...

Gotta love Jeep sometimes.
