Post drum brakes work then dont???

When i go to work in the morning the brakes seem so much more touchy but when i get to about 30mph they stop working and only the disc brakes work and its back to mushy brakes. IS this just brake work? or is it going to be a problem.

BTW, the emergency brake does not work at all i pull it up and the car keeps on rollin' ???

any help on this would be great! 92jeepy

Sounds like you need to adjust the rear brakes to start with.

if rear brakes havent been cleaned & adjusted in awhile the adjusters might be frozen up. i would remove drums & check adjusters. i check & clean my rear brakes every time i rotate my tires. im anel like that!

sounds like you need new drums and shoes in the rear. check your wheel cylinders also. new brake spring kit is cheap and well worth it.

do that and your brakes will not only work better, but your e-brake should work perfectly too.
