I have to drop the tranny to change the flex plate. I was wondering specifically what tools I will need to do this? I know there's some specific tools that are needed. Also could I use ramps instead of a lift, as I don't have a lift, or would jack-stands be better?

I believe I read on here that there are a couple or three odd-sized bolts at the very top of the transmission. From what I've read, get those bolts out first and you'll avoid a bit of trouble. They are the most difficult ones to reach and there's not much clearance to get a wrench on 'em. If all the 'easy' bolts are loosened first, it's going to put those difficult ones in more of a bind and make them even more difficult. ( I hope this helps a little )
