I recently changed my leaf springs for my 98 cherokee with stock replacements from Crown Leaf Spring 52000051. I installed them (with some trouble due to rusty bolts) and when I changed the springs I noticed that I couldn't put one spring in while the other was still attached because the locating pin was slightly closer to the front than the original spring. I removed and replaced both springs and then reassembled the axle to the springs. I still have a stock slip yoke, and I am worried that the shaft has gone too far into the transfer case NP231, because now I have vibration between 40-50 MPH where I had no vibration at all before.
Has anyone else experienced this? Unfortunately I didn't measure my driveline angles before changing springs and I haven't measured them since either. I didn't expect this sort of problem. Any help you could offer would be great.

If you installed "stock" replacements I assume they returned the vehicle to it's stock height. If this is true they driveshaft length and pinion angles shouldn't be an issue. I would recheck everything and make sure its tight. Did you happen to swap sides with the rear tires when you put them back on? The whole thing could be tire related. ????

I put the tires back on the sides they came off, so not that. I'm going to go out and buy a driveline angle tool tonight. I am also going to lift her up and spin tires, maybe my ujoints are too old and don't like the new angles.
