I have a '99 XJ sport with some rusty driveshafts. I have a D30 in front and a 8.25 in the rear. It's a 4.0 with automatic trans and a NP231 TC.
I'm looking for used clean driveshafts to replace mine. It seems that fronts are all the same, I think. How about rears? Will a driveshaft from a 2000 fit? Does D35 or 8.25 make a difference?

rust is normal and can be cleaned off if you feel the need.
If you still want to purchase new driveshafts you should get them from the same type of drivetrain- 4.0L/AW4/NP231/D30/Chry8.25. the D35 is a smaller axle and will have a longer driveshaft so it won't work, but the front one still should.
