yes its long but bear with me.
ok well i dont really know where to start.well ever since the weather started changing, as in getting cold, the jeep started acting up.i would start the jeep and put her in revers and press on the gass, and it wouldnt want to go.then suddenly boom, it kicks in. then the other day i started her up and put her in drive and when i pressed on the gas i heard and felt a loud grinding noise from what seemds to be the front axle. then i let go of the gas and pressed on it again, then i felt it a little higher towards the middle section. my? is what can it be? it just does it when the jeep is cold but after like a block if drives perfectly.what can it be? can i be low on gear oil? i mean i checked my trans. fluid, motor oil, and my tcase fluid. and everything seems fine.can it also be my tcase? maybe engagin the 4x4 on its own? because my cuz had told me not to mess with the lever because the t-case was messed up.plz help

Sorry I can't offer much help here, but my driveshaft broke a few weeks ago. I heard a similar noise and couldn't accelerate very well, and then my driveshaft fell. It turned out to be my ujoints. Could this possibly be the case, or part of it, for you?

I personally would. I was hearing a clunking/grinding noise when I would shift from park to drive, and from drive to reverse, and I figured they were just out of grease. Well before I could grease them up, they broke.
Best of luck!

put the jeep in park, grab the driveshaft with both hands (with the wheels blocked so it cant roll, and twist it forward and back, if it has any clunking or real looseness its the u joints.

yea i also did that. funny story. i was on my way to get sum tranny fluid, and some bozo on a trailblazer clipped me from behind!when i got off the guy started getting aggressive.luckily there was no damages done to the jeep. at all! i still called the cops tho. and it turned out the guy didnt have insurance. so the cop told me to tell him that if he doesnt want me to make a report for him to fork up sum dough. i didnt want to be an *** so i asked him for 50 buks.lol he gave me 60 and apologized for his actions. now i have money to fix my jeep!!!!!yeeesss!!!!!!!!now. im going to replace my t-case fluid to see if it helps. and check my tranny fluid while im at it. any more suggestions would be greatley apprecited.also. how can i check my t-case chain. is it hard? i'v never done it before thats why. i magine i'l open it and all these rings and stuff will start coming out.
