Thanks for the follow up Crow Horse. I haven't had a chance to take on the window yet (hopefully THIS weekend), I had to chase down a vacuum leak that caused the A/C to default to Defrost setting (the break is pretty common I found out and was right next to the battery tray, between that and the core support. Easy to see and fix).

I wonder if the seals are dry rotted and have lost their natural lubricity? I'll try the lube first and see how long it lasts. I'm going to check those tabs too.
