Question Driver's side window issue - regulator? How do I know?

Howdy!

I've got a 98 Classic and the driver's side window won't go up or down. When I pull the switch the lights on the switch dim a bit but nothing happens. No sound or anything. All other windows work fine on the driver's side switch panel.

I assume it could be a bad regulator, bad motor, bad switch or bad wiring in the door (I already soldered and repaired the driver's side speaker cable in the door "sock" and everything else looked fine).

I'm pretty new at working on cars in general so I'm not sure what the next step should be. I'm a new dad so free time is at a premium so I just wanted to get some opinions on what I should do next before I did any "exploratory" surgery.

Thanks!

You need to get in there and see if the window motor is getting the power and ground to make the window go up and down . It could be a bad motor or it just not getting power .
