Hey everyone. I tried searching but found nothing. I have a 98 XJ limited and cant get the front windows to go down without forcing them. Once down they will go back up using the switch with no issues. Any ideas?

 

Probably bad regulator/motors. Sounds like its time for new ones. Not too hard to change yourself.

 

Well I was able to fix it. I had the whole door apart and noticed the plastic conduit that wraps around the worm gear that pushes the window up and down was cracked on both ends which caused the worm gear to just pop out and not push the window down. I was able to get the whole thing tied down with zip ties.

Both of my passenger windows don't work, from any switch. Both drivers side windows do though!

Maybe mine will be that easy!
