Driver window won't roll up!
Hello all,
First post here, been lurkin a while. I have a problem. I need my XJ but the driver window won't roll up. When I hit the switch I can hear a click and the cab light dims but nothing happens. It went down just fine after about four weeks of not running. I need help!

well, that must mean that I get to drill out rivets... Joy, I can hear and feel the motor trying to work, but nothing happens.

Yeah,
Tried to help it up, at least hoping that I could get it to close enough that I can go hunting this weekend. No luck. The thing is stuck solid. Does anyone know where I can find a diagram of exactly how it works before I start drilling rivets? Has anyone ever dealt with this before?

Sounds like your window motor is drawing a lot of amperage, could be stuck on something like Gee oh Dee was sayin. Bottom line you're going to have to take off the door skin to get an idea of what's up. Good Luck.

But yeah, it'll be a few screws, maybe some push clips.

Mine sticks once in a while as well. I smack the inside of the door under the armrest and it usually goes up. The gears lock up on mine and it takes a little "help" to get them moving again. At least until I replace the window motor...
