Ok so I had an initial issues with my windows that led me to replace the whole window drive assembly. I used parts from a JY. Now both front windows will move up and down fine but when they are full up and you hit the switch to drop them everything drives but the window stays in the up position. If I help it down the first 3ish inches then it will cycle fine all the way down and all the way up, but if I get it within the 3ish inches from the top it stops and I have to help it back down below that mystical mark. Any ideas?

 

taking off the panel and watching it i would think will give you the answer you require

 

Sounds like the jy parts are bad. The gears inside the regulator are bad.

 

Even if its through just the last 3 inches on both doors? Just seems wierd that both would do that.

 

Yea, my rear windows do the same thing. The only thing you can do to try and help them besides replacing the motor and regulator again is lube the window tracks with silicone spray

 

Dang. The wife isnt gonna be happy about this one lol.

Not really. She passed state inspection which was all I was really worried about. Now I can take some time to fix it properly
