is it when you are driving or at stop? The 4x4 lever mount bushings could be worn. Lots of TSBs on that one.

TSB # 21-008-01
Group: Transmission
Date: Aug. 03, 2001
Subject: Geartrain sound entering passanger compartment.

But it is only on model yr 00-01.

I would think you can look it up online or just take this # to jeep.

When do you have the vibe at a stop, on the move?
In what gear?
At what MPH?
At what RPM?

it vibes slightly and very little in park, it then vibes out when stopped and in drive. I had a wheel alignement and all tires balanced.

I just looked at the drive shaft.. there is a whitish yellow spot next to a round peice of metal about the size of a dime and two dimes thick. There was one next to it but its gone..

Are those balancer weights??

Yes those are balancing weights, they will have nothing to do with vibrations at a stop... they will affect vibrations while on the move.
Check you motor and transmission mounts, as mentioned above.
The t-case lever/4x4 lever will not cause or fix any vibrations. The lever utilizes bushings that will eventually wear (causing a rattle, not vibrations) regardless of what year the vehicle is.

My rear exahust hanger was rotted out and too short when the guy before me installed a new exhaust. I made an extension and stopped the vibration.. However, idle is stilla bit jumpy.. Need more time with then new injectors... seems to be leveling off a bit.. Who knows.. Im going to beat the **** out of it anyway lol

My rear exhaust pipe hanger was rotted so the idiots that installed the new exhaust before I got the truck welded the new pipe to a rusted hanger TOO HIGH.. I broke the pipe hanger off and pushed the pipe down and rigged it with my own adjustable metal hanger and solved the rattling.. Idle is still jumpy a bit BUT thank goodness that rattle.. Myu noise was Mid Car!! Check exhaust for vibes and rattle also..
