hi folks i got a 2000 XJ and my rear drive shaft got ****ed up and i was going to change it with my 94 drive shaft but the 94 drive shaft was an inch and a half too long or so so my real question is what year XJ drive shafts were the same as a 2000 drive shaft going to the junk yard tommorow so if anyone knows thanks for the help guys

I don't wanna say this is a fact, but a lot of congruency goes from the 96 to the 04. I would assume that drive shafts would be the same in those years, as they can trade a lot between them. Hope this helps a little in the right direction.

I am looking in the manual to see if having the NV242 or NV231 t-case makes any difference. If you want I can send you the manuals, it is a good thing to have.

I know that the NV242 t-case has the 2wd/4wdhi part time/4xdhi full time and 4wd low and the NV231 t-case does not have the 4wdhi partime. That should make difference I think.
