Yes, I was talking about the PCM.

I have opened it up, and bad news. The solder joints for the connection are solid. I re-flowed them anyway, just to be sure. New development, though, over these many months. The beast completely died on my one cool day, and wouild not restart. Had it towed. The shop found it would start once in a while, but would die after a random time. They did find they are able to kill it reliably by wiggling the cable going into the PCM.

So, now it's looking like the cable itself. So, next step, tow it home and fiddle with it.

Might sell it as is.

Default need advise

i have a 1994 jeep wrangler yj 5 speed i took it out wheeling 2 days ago i reved it pretty bad to make it up hill climb when i couldnt make it i shut it off few hours passed i turned the key and it started horribly when it shut off it wouldnt start again i had to get it towed when i got it back home i popped the clutch in 5th gear to see if engine was seized it tried to turn over but had no luck any ideas?????

I had the same issues. Mine was decently easy to figure out. I had a bad seal in my windshield and water got collected into the overhead keyless entry module and fried it. Cut the wires and popped a new fuse in and WALA! Has never been an issue. Hope it helps.
