Hey all!

After putting up with my girlfriend complaining because she doesn't have heat in her Jeep, I finally got a heater core and tore into it a few days ago. For those that have done this, you know what's involved and how fun it is! Anyway, I am now reassembling this thing , but haven't gotten very far.

I'm trying to put the HVAC box together, but for the life of me cannot figure out where this piece of plastic part goes:


I'm pretty sure it has to be somewhere in the top half, since as I pulled it apart, it fell out. I was thinking here:


but I don't think it's correct. Anyone else have any ideas? Sorry for the long first post, but any help would be GREATLY appreciated! This is coming from a Chevy guy, so please don't be hatin'!

EDIT: I see someone else had this missing piece as well but no one answered. Maybe I don't need it?

 

i assume by now you have it figured out if not ...it slides over the other flap in the box, it runs alongside of it..just kind of sets in there, let me know...it goes to the right of the pic, slides down on that guide.

 

Hey Dennis, I am having the same issue with my daughters cherokee. She is supposed to start a new job so I am in a pinch. It sounds like you got some good info from XJ711. Did you figure it out cause I am trying to figure out which flap he was referring to. A pic of the proper location would save a thousand words.
