Update-- I've been driving regularly and the plug is still holding! so that's 9 months so far.

If you use a shop vac to blow air into the cooling system, be sure to have a clean airfilter in the vacuum cleaner, not a torn one. wash out the hose and the vacuum drum very well. Failure to do so will likely blow dirt into the cooling system!!!!! you dont want to blast the dirt you have been sucking into the vacuum for the past years to be blown into your engine!!!!!
