Default Drag Link Tie Rod End Problems... Help?

I need some help. I'm trying to replace that TRE on the drag link, the one that connects the drag link to the pitman arm. But I can only barely get it into the pitman arm hole, its at an angle and won't go through the hole in the pitman arm far enough for me to get the nut started on top. I tried hammering and prying it with no luck. Any advice?

The threads of the bolt on the TRE will get about level with the top of the hole in the pitman arm, but because it's slanted it just won't go though.

The TRE should be centered as you put it through the tapered joint of the pitman arm. The knuckle end of the drag link should be centered when you're done, meaning grease zero straight down. I don't see how this is a problem unless you've threaded it into the sleeve and tightened it you can't turn anything. Your adjustment is at the sleeve. The tapered joint should just fit in. I suppose it's possible you got the wrong part in the box or need a different part because someone made a modification. Do the old parts and new parts look pretty much the same?

I don't quite get what you're saying. The tie rod end is centered in the hole of the pitman arm, it's just too sharp of angle to go though. So the tip of the the bolt sticking out the little ball joint on the TRE, hits the side of the walls of the pitman arm hole. And gets jammed up.

Move the stud to a different angle. Just use pliers on the stud and move it. Adjust/loosen the sleeve to adjust the length/angle if necessary.
