Does this AC delete idler pulley work for 88 Renix 4.0 motor as well? I see 91 on up but not specifically for the 88 4.0L

No, I was never able to find one anywhere that would work on a Renix XJ. The 91+ have a different bolt setup on the AC bracket (4 bolts instead of 2 like the renix) so the 91+ wont fit on yours. Some people have said they have found stock AC bypass pulleys on renix XJs in the junkyard.

You could get a 91+ AC bracket from the junkyard and then use the 91+ AC bypass pulley. I never checked if it was something the dealer would have but they might since they did have stock ones but not sure. I also saw that some people moved the alternator to where the AC was to bypass it that way but I am sure that required some fabrication.
