I have had these springs on for about 8 months now and they are still higher than stock. I like the stiffer ride. I have bilstein shocks too.

the 5.2 V8 ZJ Upcountry FRONT Coils are the same as the 5.9 coils. I pulled mine at the yard.

the 5.2 coils (Non Upcountry) have a softer spring rate, and are slightly shorter I believe.

Anybody?
FWI, There are a LOT of people on these site that count the 2" lift you can get by replacing SAGGING springs with stock as a LIFT, rater than just restoring STOCK ride height. These are the people that post, "Why did my 2" new springs lift, give me almost 4" of lift?" Answer it didn.t it gave 2" of lift and restored 2" of lift thy lost due to the affects of gravity and usage. That Dorman spring is a stock spring and will only "LIFT" an XJ to STOCK ride height. The amount of that lift will depend on how much below stock height the XJ is prior to installation.

I put these on my Jeep yesterday.

Old ride height was 18" front and 16.5" rear

With the new springs ride height is 18" front and 18" rear.

Couldn't be happier.

Hi Vulcan1701............... Carl Lafong here.............. did you happen to find your springs for $83.00 a piece.
My '97 jeep cherokee 4 door , 4.0 L , 6 cylinder has straight as an arrow leaf springs...... original equipment from '97 , I'm thinking.
Have one spring ..I got for $60.00 plus $40.00 shipping....... But according to all the different prices out there you'd swear that you're
looking at completely different animals...... cl

I got them from Rockauto.com but as of today, they no longer stock the Dorman leaf springs and it seems that the ones on Amazon are now $149.

It was 2013 when I replaced my springs so its possible that the price went up considerably since then.

Heck, the Omix-Ada spring is cheaper. Its $95 on Amazon. (1 left, order soon....)

Thanks Vulcan 1701......... checked them out..... they don't even have 1997 Jeep... that I could see........ the only reason I'm looking for Dorman 929-301 is I got the first one for $60.00 + $40.00 shipping.

Those of us who have done the up country suspension upgrade have used either the Dorman or Crown leaf springs. The only two brands I know of that offer the same lift. Even so I wouldn't be mixing brands if I were you.

Can't you check your local parts stores online for discount codes?

For example here at Auto Zone you get 20% off plus free shipping. That puts the price of that Dorman spring at $120 down from $149.99.
