Doors Wont Unlock

Doors Wont Unlock
I have a 2000 Cherokee with electric locks and the doors wont unlock with the remote unlock. the doors will lock and i can set the alarm off but they wont unlock all that happens when i hit the button is the interior light turns on. the doors unlock from the inside with the controls on the door but not from the remote. any ideas?
