Default Door pin

Curious where I can get this little piece I'm missing on my door. Or how I could make one myself. I'd appreciate some suggestions! I have 2 pictures, one with the pin in and one with it missing.

Im cheap, I use a hitch pin. You can get the actual part at most parts stores for less than $5.

You might grab one at the wreckers. And that bracket too, one with the "round kind" of hole.

Depending on where you are in SoCal, I've got both the pin and the ratchet arm (off of an '89 but I think they're the same). You can have. I'm in Santa Ana.

Of course, this depends on whether or not I can find them.

I didn't even think to use a hitch pin haha. That could work. I have the arm (as you can see to the right in that picture, it's hiding in the door but you can see the end of it, just gotta get some pliers and pull it on out) so I just need to Macgyver a pin. I was just planning on shoving that ish back in, maybe tapping it with a hammer to get it all the way in

I'm in seal beach, so not far from you. if you could, could you look for that pin? And lemme know if you find it? I already tried autozone and they don't carry them

Also there is a Pick- your-part yard in Sunland (just north of Burbank). If you can justify the the drive north and find other parts you need it's a good source for OEM jeep stuff.

Yay, I found it! Now all I have to do is get my Jeep running so we can meet somewhere. I was on my way to Long Beach when it died yesterday. Fingers crossed...

I used shoulder bolts in mine, but Quadratech sells the whole thing.

I just used bolts with lock nuts in both my front doors when I lost mine. So far one has held fast for three years, the other two.
