98 xj sport. 2 questions

1. How can i paint a chrome door lock cylinder replacement? All they had was chrome, but all the accents on my jeep are black. So what's a nice way to get it a sleek metallic black?

2. How do i get the old door lock cylinder out? I searched and searched but i can't seem to find a clear explanation. Any assistance will help.

For the past 2 years ive had to unlock the passenger door and reach over, and im tired of it! Picked it up on amazon for cheap

 

You might try finger nail polish to paint the cylinders. It might be better to just leave them chrome though...

To change them out, this might help...
