Default Door lock button dead

Hi, one minor electical problem:
On my 96 cherokee the unlock/lock button in the driver's door doesn't work (Passenger door button works). I took out that switch, measured it and it seems to be fine, the cable connectors look good. Where else could the error be?

The lock/unlock button in the passenger door operates the driver's door lock fine, so the actuator seems to work, or am I missing something?

Thanks again.

On my 92 the passangers side door lock switch didn't work drivers did..I replaced the switch with one from the JY and all is good now..You can replace the individual switches at least in the older style..

I had the switch in my hands already and checked it with a multimeter which seemed ok. Maybe I should replace it anyway and try again.
