My door lock on my 2000 Grand Cherokee is sticking pretty bad. I need to replace it. My key has a chip. Would I be able to buy a cylinder that uses the same key or would I have to have 2 different keys for the ign. and the lock?

 

Had the same problem, went to a u pull place and pulled a lock core for $5.00. The Jeep dealer wanted $55.00. Took to a lock smith with the key and they reset it for $12.00. Works great.

Called the dealer and they wanted $50.00 for the cylinder and $150.00 to key it. Thats just the cylinder rekey alone not installation. I guess tomorrow I will call a locksmith.
