Default door advice

I am possibly getting an 87 Xj today it has 188*** on it and the body is in decent shape but I'm not really a fan of the doors. You know the wing type windows so I am curious will the doors from a newer model fit so that I can have the full window? Thanks

Yes but you have to modify the door striker and it may interfere with opening the glove box

I thought the hinges are a little different or something....so they weren't the same.

But the wiring can be spliced so no worries there.

If your just trying to get rid of the vent window the door itself can be modified.

I saw someone post about it a few days ago. May wanna look into that...suppose to be much easier than the door swap.

For the life of me I cannot remember where I saw it, but I know it was one of our more knowledgeable members, so I would not hesitate to consider the advise.

The bottom hinge on mine rusted off. So the passenger side doesnt sit right, and I could prolly just snap the window off with ease and break in. :/

Thanks Travis. But I have the two off my parts truck, and I may make them into half doors, in which case I will use those.
