another one to check is the one behind the driver head light. not a ground, but a connector. I was reading through crusers tips and saw it. mine looked identical to the picture he shows on his page. I was shocked that it was that nasty inside.

yep, thats the one! i remember seeing the picture thinking that there was no way that mine looked like that. While my project is on hold untill i can afford parts, i figured i would do things that dont cost money, and sure enough that connector looked just like the picture!

Wow. I think I'm going to have to acquire a generous research grant from the Smithsonian in order to hire the archaeological team necessary to excavate that ground point on my Jeep from the strata of oil, dead insects, mud and lizard bones. I have never seen it before. LOL
