I was wondering if anyone knows anthing about the rear dome light push button? When my front door is open both lights are on and the one in the rear with the button cant be turned off or on by the button.Even with the rear gate open or shut the button does nothing. Does anyone know anything about this???

 

Does the light bulb work? If it does, I would maybe take the assembly apart and make sure that when you are pushing the button, it is actually doing something. Maybe a clip or something broke off from the inside?

 

yea the dome light works just cant get the button to do anything.I can hear it clicking when pushed but nothing as the result??? What is it supposed to do??

 

My rear light doesnt come on at all.
The Bulb is good tho. Sry to hijack i just ignore it but it would be nice if ot did work.

 

mine works only with the front doors open...and the button can't be pushed in.

 

My rear dome wasn't working, either. Pulled it out and the switch was melted. Replaced it with a generic switch and the dome light now works, but only with the other doors open/main dome light switch on, regardless of which position the switch is in. Basically, the switch on the rear dome light doesn't do squat on my Jeep, so I'd be interested to know what the deal is as well.....
