Hey guys i was browsing the world wide web and I found this.
http://www.4x4xplor.com/alignment.html
Its a guide to how to do the front end alignment. For us college kids its a great way to save money by doing it yourself. I think this is only for stock steering though but im not sure

Doing your own alignments is pretty easy. If your careful with it you can get pretty close to what the shop will put it at. I believe I was 1/16" too much toe in. I rode fine before but the shop made it much better

A trick I have used is to spin a tire and spray a white band. Then spin it again and make a thin mark in or on the paint (ball-point), for your reference mark. When you can't measure straight across at hub level. (most cars), you can transfer down to the cement with a level or plumb-bob. You can tape part of a Bud 36 Pk. box down on cement to mark on. I think toe-in specs are for at the bead on the rim. I have done 1/8 inch at the tread on 15's with good results.
I always role the car forward to a stop and check it right there as a final check.

Sounds easier than it is. That day the can won't spray, the pen won't wright, the wind will come up and blow the card-board after that very sticky tape didn't stick. You will wonder why a gorilla on steroids tightened the clamping bolts, then find un clamping and "freeing" are not that related. Once that's done you sit in your comfy seat and take the wheel, which now you find is not perfectly straight when going straight.
But yes, it works, can be done...Easy to WRIGHT maybe.
