hey bud i dont know to much but ive read enought to know that these guys know alot but you can do whatever it is you want to your rig. long arms are going to give it a smoother ride. but for sand and mud you dont need them and youll have to get it and install to see if you need the sye. i met a guy that had a rustys 6.5 and 34's and know sye. just do with what you want. but definatley gears would help. but you shouldnt need more than 4.10s. a buddy of mine ran 40s boggers in that back tsl's in the front with 4.56 and could throw roosters forty of fifty feet high. not meaning to diss on anyone.

What are your plans for your rear driveshaft and transfer case? Are you planning on doing a Slip Yoke Eliminator kit? You'll definitely need one at 6.5" regardless of what lift you do (long arm or short arm).

An SYE is a kit that eliminates your slip yoke type rear driveshaft. It changes the rear output on the transfer case and allows the use of a CVO shaft.(similar to the frt. one.) Find out what transfer case you have. Either a 242 or 231. The 242 dose not have a SYE kit avail to it, but you can use a "hack & tap" method. Rubicon Experss has one for it. If you do have a 231 the SYE is avail. You can save some cash by using a frt. driveshaft to replace the slip yoke one.

check out rough country. their 6.5 is 899. thats what i have on mine and its as good as any i have seen. if yours is primarily for looks why not save 100 bucks or so. im not saying the RC kit i just for looks but if you are not wheelin it hard i would save the 100 and put it towards an sye. every little bit counts.

Thats a deal. Jump all over that. You can get a frt. drive shaft for the rear @ most junkyards pretty cheap also.

What t-case do you have? If you have a NP242 then the SYE on that kit is worthless, unless he had an NP242 also. But dude that is a SWEET deal. nice!
