Ok so this is a weird problem that I have never had or even heard of. Every time I start up my Jeep in the rain (correlation doesn't necessarily equal causation) I drive a out of my street and turn. After that turn it seems like it stays in first gear for a bit no matter how hard I try to give it gas. Never happens again after that first turn. I may have worded this because it is such an odd problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Check out the throttle position cable for the transmission quick fix thread. My green one use to hang out in first for a few seconds then shift when first accelerating when everything is cold.

thanks guys I'll check out the various options. Like I said it only happens the first turn after I start it even if I let it warm up.
