Default Does this sound like a flex plate?

It seems to be getting worse. It is louder when the engine is at certain RPM.

If it is flex plate, its probably cracked. How hard is it to replace? And what the hell its there for? Is it pretty much like flywheel? It looks like a really thin flywheel.

I guess i will have to drop the tranny to get the new one in. How hard is it to remove the tranny? while i am in there its worth doing the rear main seal, correct? I am pretty sure its leaking.

Here is the video of the noise.

It sounds kinda like a flex plate. Is this an automatic? Manual? Hope this helps.

Before you pull your transmission check the sensor on the top of the tranny that reads the flexplates rotations. I thought my flexplate was broken so I pulled my transmission and it ended up being the sensor screws wiggled there way out and the sensor was hitting the flexplate.
