Default does this fit 97+ models?

autozone says it doesnt, but it looks like it should and it has the grommets built in.......... anyone in a 97+ use this one?

They are a different gasket for pre 97 and 97+.. If you have the older style valve cover made of aluminum get the older gasket, if you have the newer valve cover made of steel get the newer gasket.

I think that's the problem, i bought a new crown aluminum valve cover, and the spacers wont fit in the holes. figured this old version of valve cover gasket would do the trick.

yessir that's what you'll need! That style cover doesn't use the grommets
